[Courses] Newbie on this list

Hi everyone, I'm new to this whole community of LinuxChix.  I am
currently in cs undergrad and I feel this list is a really good idea. 
I'm taking operating systems right now and the course required us to
program in C, which I have very little experience of (I'm more
comfortable with C++).   I'm also in the Newbie list so I can get my feet
wet.  The cs dept at my college emphasized unix and linux-environment
programming and I am beginning to appreciate the awesome flexibility in
linux.  Are there many members here (@linuxchix as a whole) who are
college students like myself?  Perhaps we can once in a while, have an
IRC session to help out students like myself.  I've been lurking for a
few days and I really like this community.  Thanks to you all who created
it and participates in it. --Rei
