Call for Nominations $10,000 Anita Borg Technical Leadership and
Social Impact Awards
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2007 The Anita Borg Awards
for Social Impact and Technical Leadership. These two awards were
established to recognize outstanding leaders who embrace Anita Borg's
lasting vision to change the world for women and for technology. 
Past recipients include:
Dr. Fran Allen, IBM Fellow Emerita and recent Turing Award winner.
Karen Banks, Global Coordinator, APC Women's Networking Program.
Dr. Carol Muller, Founder and CEO of MentorNet.
Dr. Wendy Hall, Professor of Computer Science at the University of
Southhampton.Recipients of the 2007 Social Impact and Technical
Leadership Awards will each receive a $10,000 award. 


 Call for Nominations$5,000 Anita Borg Institute for Women and
Technology Denice Denton Emerging Leader Award
The Anita Borg Institute is proud to announce the inaugural Denice
Denton Emerging Leader Award. This award recognizes a man or a woman
under the age of 35 who has demonstrated a significant leadership
capability and positive impact of the lives of women through
technology. Recipient of the 2007 Denice Denton Emerging Leader Award
will receive a $5,000 award.

All recipients will be honored at the 2007 Grace Hopper Celebration of
Women in Computing Conference Awards Banquet to be held in Orlando,
Florida on October 18, 2007.
