Hi everyone,

LinuxChix has a new mailing list: actionchix

Actionchix is the place to go if you want to harness the energy of
LinuxChix in projects in addition to discussion. Some ideas:

 - educational materials for use with school-age girls
 - educational materials about Free Software and its philosophies, for
women who want to get involved
 - media resources for dealing with tech and mainstream press on women
   and computing
 - political resources for dealing with political bodies about things
like intellectual property, freedom of expression and other political
   issues relevant to Free Software/computing
 - joint projects with other computing/women in computing groups
 - translation of materials developed
 - resources for women in different cultures
 - helping seed the foundation of new Free Software (and related Open
Knowledge and the like) projects by women
 - contributing resources developed by LinuxChicks to existing Free
   Software (etc) projects

But really of course, it will be up to the people who join to choose
what projects to start and work on. If you have a project that you want
Chix to help out with, actionchix is the list to use.

The list is publically archived and open subscription. Like every other
LinuxChix list except grrls-only, males are welcome to join, and all
list members will as usual be asked to be polite and be helpful.

Join actionchix at
http://mailman.linuxchix.org/mailman/listinfo/actionchix -- the list
will open for posting in a few days time.

-Mary
