Leaving aside the message issues with the logo (I don't respond to it
like Val and many other women do, but I do happen to like the COOL
ROBOPENGUINS better) I'm also not entirely sure that that logo is
licenced in a good way. In fact, I'm pretty sure that we use it under
the vague condition of "may be used by LinuxChix" and it's probably a
verbal agreement. The artist was a friend of Deb Richardson's whose
website shut down a long time ago, I don't think we know how to contact
him.

As a Free Software group I think we should be careful about this. Our
logo, our designs and our site content should all be carefully marked
with their copyright details and their licence where necessary. (And
it's not a bad idea to make our logo and designs adaptable, because then
chapters can use them.)
