[Techtalk] Unreadable(?) pdf files

Once again, thank you all for the various suggestions.

Unfortunately all of them produce documents with blank pages.

I do have the originals in .eps files, which, with luck are potentially
readable.  Unfortunately they are on 3-1/2" floppy discs, and I no
longer have any actual way of reading them.  But I dare say that I can
beg, borrow, steal or even buy a drive from somewhere!
