That's the APC unit, a cheapo backup battery and surge protector. Not a real 
uninterruptible power supply. Dunno if it even has a vent. I shall look.

Maybe I have Star Trek-quality electronics, where they burst into flames, 
smoke, and showers of sparks, and yet everything still works. And in a crew 
of 400 only Spock knows how to fix things.

I think it is a ghost.
