[Techtalk] opengear console carriage returns

Hi All,

I'm running RHEL on 5 opterons, and 4 of the 5 are working just fine with
a serial console. The 5th one doesn't. The 5th one uses a keyspan USB to
serial converter.

The console works fine until I log in. Then the lines overwrite each
other, ie, the carriage returns are not happening. Bash works a little
better than tcsh in that with bash, there are carriage returns when you
press the return key, they just don't happen for the end of computer
generated lines, eg, in the following, the carraige return happened with
the "ls" command, but not after each line of the listing of the files or
for the resulting prompt.

[root at leo ~]# ls
[root at leo ~]# g Desktop install.log install.log.syslog

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks!
