By ticketing software, do you mean bug tracking?  Maybe something like
Bugzilla would work?  http://www.bugzilla.org/
Bugzilla is a very widely used issue tracking system... for software,
and for a load of other things.
You can get an idea of where it's used from this list:
http://www.bugzilla.org/installation-list/ and go check out how it's
used in NASA for example.
