Linux when working at home, windows when working on my work laptop...

I mostly need syntax highlighting to i do not delete something essential
(and i have no knowledge of the syntax). No wish/need to change the
structure, but i need to translate the content from English into Dutch.
And that is enough work as it is.

Suggestions seen so far:

Linux:
- Quanta Plus (KDE): http://quanta.kdewebdev.org/
- Bluefish (GNOME): http://bluefish.openoffice.nl
- emacs
- nvu

Windows:
- dreamweaver (adobe)
- emacs
- nvu
- Vbasic

Hmmm.... I see 1 legal alternative so far which is available on both
platforms (not counting emacs), which is vnu. Any experienced users? Any
recommendations, things to keep in mind?

I've tried emacs some times, and so far never been able to remember its
commands. Probably because i've never really taken time to learn it.
Never had a good reason to do so. At work its mostly Office (with
regular attempts to see how much i can do in OpenOffice - and remain
compatible with the others in office), and no real need for anything
else. The little bash / code editing i do, i do with vim. Because i can
use that over just about any type of interface, and its available in one
type or other on most any unix like system.....

Thanks,

Rudy
