What they hey is going on here?????????? I'd like to know. Don't you need 3/4 or so votes and don't allogations need to be presented, backed up, and proven before removing anyone because of a disgrunted member ot two? Anyone on here who's unhappy has the right to leave?
Aren't you the one that fought so hard to kick men off here? Thank God we still live in a free society. Why should anyone be barred?

Subject: [Grrltalk] calling for Mary Gardiner's resignation as Coordinator
I am taking a very serious step and asking that Mary Gardiner be removed as
Coordinator. A considerable amount of discussion has taken place on the
irc-admin and Volunteers lists, which are closed lists, so you're probably
not aware of what has been happening.
In a nutshell, Mary believes her job is to dictate, rather than lead.
Linuxchix has a long tradition of conducting its business openly and with
participation from membership.
Mary has banned me from the Volunteers and irc-admin lists, and removed
my 'mighty ops powers' on IRC because i raised questions, and persisted in
pressing for answers, which she refused to give. Again, many other chix were
raising the same concerns.
As it stands now, Mary and Val Henson have hijacked Linuxchix. Mary owns the
domain name, which was also done on the sneak:

I do not believe they are fit to run this organization, and are damaging it
severely. If anyone other than Mary and Val know the server passwords, we
Anyone who knows me knows that I do not take this sort of action lightly. It
is serious. I am serious. Mary had many chances to resolve the issues first
privately, then in discussion on irc-admin and Volunteers.
I invite other Chix who are aware of the details of the kerfuffle to chime in.
