I'm sorry about the lag in response time. I've had 3 really, really
long days after totally "borking" the server. I decided I needed 6
hours sleep before jumping in again.

Permissions for spool directories:
drwxr-s--- 2 smmta smmsp 16784 Nov 4 09:04 mqueue
drwxrws--- 2 smmsp smmsp 48 Nov 4 06:26 mqueue-client

I don't think the user the browser is running under matters. It's
running as "raquel" on a different machine. On the server, the apps
(Squirrelmail, WordPress, Zen-Cart and others) which are unable to
send email are running as www-data.

What method is being used to send mail? I don't know, but an
educated guess would be PHP mail().
