I use MailScanner (http://mailscanner.info) to filter mail as it comes in
on the SMTP port.  It sits as front end to sendmail/postfix/etc.  I simply
toss high scoring spam and then procmail eats some other things before
giving it to my mailling list software (i use ecartis instead of mailman)
