I can connect with Firefox or IE from a Windoze box but not from any of my
linux boxes (all running firefox)

When I use telnet from linux (FC2) I get

$ telnet www.linuxchix.org 80
Trying 203.7.155.11...
Connected to www.linuxchix.org.
Escape character is '^]'.
GET / HTTP/1.0

and it just hangs forever.

If I do the same thing from windows using cygwin telnet

$ telnet www.linuxchix.org 80
Trying 203.7.155.11...
Connected to linuxchix.org.
Escape character is '^]'.
GET / HTTP/1.0
