Although it may be unrelated, that specific message strongly reminds me of 
something you would encounter when an access error is intercepted while using 
locked or isolated tables. A good example of that would be while the 
autocommit option is disabled on a protected table; any additional queries 
would fail until the first one was completed.

Another area which needs to be considered are the virtual links between 
tables, which are often found in MSAccess databases. If you could provide 
more information on any additional factors that could be influencing the 
error, it would be helpful.
