[Techtalk] changing the name after the @ in your prompt

Hi,

I thought this was going to be an easy change....but perhaps not. If I
want to change the name of my machine (which is just a laptop connected
directly to the internet), which files would I need to change?
	
	I tried changing all of:
	/etc/hosts
	/etc/hostname
	/etc/postfix/main.cf

But I was still getting an email from root complaining about the new name not being
resolved...

I'm not sure if the question makes sense or not, so I'll keep puttering
away. But if it does click for someone, I'd be happy to know what I'm
missing. :)
