No kidding. At least I've finally figured out where the logs on this aspect
of things are going: ssl_engine_log. Oh.
At this point, I've tried any number of different ways of
compiling/installing, ranging from instructions found on the Web to
instructions in mod_ssl to those in mod_perl. Plus used APXS in a few ways.
No dice. No matter what I try, I do at least seem to get the same
problem... when attempting to start Apache with "startssl", the
ssl_engine_log reads as follows:
[19/Sep/2003 18:50:30 30777] [info] Server: Apache/1.3.28, Interface:
mod_ssl/2.8.15, Library: OpenSSL/0.9.6g

[19/Sep/2003 18:50:45 30777] [info] Init: Configuring temporary DH

And there it stops. Dead, full stop, every time. Does anyone know what the
heck a DH parameter is in the first place? Or does this give anyone any
other clues?
