I've been using one from a Doze box for about 12 months and have not had
any trouble that wasn't self-induced :)  I actually have the drive
connected to a USB KVM that lets me "attach" the drive to any one of four
computers.  I left it connected to KVM port 2 one night and we had a power
failure.  Everything survived, but the computer that "thought" it had a
second disk drive had to be rebooted.

I haven't tried connecting it to my Linux box yet, but I am using it via an
SMB mount for backups.
