Hi,

All SCSI and IDE DVD-ROM drives are compatible with any Linux
distribution.  You just need to make sure that you're using the 2.4 kernel
series or a late 2.2 kernel [1]

OR do you mean a hardware MPEG decoder to watch a DVD?
