You said in a previous post that you had put the 5th HD on the secondary
IDE controller.  I'm not certain about this but I _think_ you need to have
it on the primary controller to be able to boot from it.  Of course, once
you're booting from the raid controller, that will be irrelevant.  I
wonder is the RAID set not properly bootable yet so it is trying to hand
off to the IDE set and not finding anything bootable there.  I had this
behaviour with a SCSI controller (it had a CDROM on it).  The scsi
controller would boot from CD but if there was no CD present, would hang
with a flashing cursor.  It wasn't until I had a properly bootable HD on
the IDE controller that the boot process would carry on.  However, until
the IDE Hd was bootable, I got no error messages!
