[Techtalk] Turning on DMA

Hi All,

I have a Dell dimension L500c Desktop running RH 7.3.  I would like to use 
xcdroast to burn cd - cd images on the fly.  xcdroast does see both devices.  
I have noticed that dma is not turned on by default in RH and was wondering a 
few things.

1.  If dma is turned on, would I have to worry about data corruption?

2.  What config files would have to be changed to allow dma to be on by 
default?

Any insight on this would be appreciated.
