Alas, I beg to differ. I actually changed from RedHat to Debian when I
started using 7.2 and my system would lock up at random intervals, no
keyboard response, no mouse response -- the only thing that I could do
was hit the power button! No way to diagnose the problem; changing the
configuration in various ways didn't seem to help; I couldn't find any
particular action of mine which triggered the hang. After this happened
a few too many times, I got Debian. It wasn't a hardware problem: the
same machine had worked perfectly fine with earlier versions of RedHat.
So from my point of view, RedHat has gotten more buggy, not less. A
serious bug like that is simply Not Acceptable in a Linux system, as far
as I'm concerned...
But I expect that anyone who installs RedHat and doesn't have problems
in the first little while, probably is going to continue to be
problem-free. You might have hit on the combination of hardware and
software that the RedHat engineers are using. 8-P
