Invitae's Web Team is currently looking to add a talented DevOps engineer
to the team. The ideal candidate for this role has a near obsessive
pre-occupation with operational availability, stability, and resilience.
They will be focused on developing, scaling, and maintaining the virtual
infrastructure that underpins all of Web - including portal, back office,
backdash, etc. In addition, they will be responsible for managing
deployments to lower and production environments and working closely with
devs and QA to ensure effective check in / merging practices.

*Responsibilities*
• Manage and maintain virtual web environments
• Monitor core web infrastructure
• Partner with other functional teams to manage changes to any web
infrastructure
• Manage code repository structure
• Manage web load balancing
• Manage release deployments across environments including production
• Communicate risks, bugs, and outage to necessary stakeholders
• Collaborate with QA to ensure high code quality
• Monitor and take preventive action to ensure site high availability

*Requirements*
• 7+ years IT / Web Operations experience
• Keen mindset toward stability / production availability
• Strong analytic and problem solving skills
• Good communication
• Experience with AWS, puppet, python a plus
• Experience with software QA a plus
• Experience with Django frameworks, ElasticSearch, Mercurial, Git, Docker
a plus
• Experience with automated testing preferred
