You are a seasoned Systems Administrator.  You know about...
- Working closely with the internal operation organization and customer support to ensure there is a quick turn around on escalated support tickets and that communication and process channels between Support and Systems are open and smooth.
- Keeping systems patched to comply with Security requirements.
- Backup/restore and disaster recovery strategies and implementation.
- Reviewing and continually improving on systems monitoring and alerting of all critical systems components
- Planning and coordinate systems maintenances with multiple internal groups to ensure minimal impact to internal and external customers. Define scope, customer impacts, back out plans
- Writing/reviewing operational documentation and troubleshooting guidelines
- Working closely with areas across Visa including, Operations, Engineering, Service Product office, and Global Open System Development Lines.
- Develop solutions using available tools and technologies and assist the global team in problem resolution by hands-on participation.
 - Work closely with areas across Visa including, Operations, Engineering, Service Product office, and Global Open System Development Lines.
 - The candidate will be heavily involved in ensuring team meets all SLA's and team objectives.

You have...
- At least 6 years administrating production Linux and Solaris systems in a 24x7 environment (with a Heavy emphasis on Linux and large server farm administration)
- Strong experience implementing security policies around user access, systems
- Experience with virtualization technologies in a production environment.
- Strong experience with scripting using Python and/or PERL, and shell.
- Experience with administering MySQL database
