Job Function
OU IT has a remarkable opportunity to be an integral part of the service
lifecycle process in both technical and analytical roles. This person will
work closely with engineers, project managers, and service staff to ensure
the delivery of world class services through needs analysis and ongoing
system integration of our core University applications. We are seeking
strong, individually motivated candidates with a proven track record of
understanding the importance of IT operations.

Duties:

- Analyze business and technology needs; specify, test and deploy solutions
to these needs, and develop documentation on these solutions that allow for
long-term support.
- Responsible for the overall maintenance and administration of
administrative and academic systems in a manner consistent with established
and industry best practices
- Perform advanced monitoring; compile and validate statistical data from
logging tools in a timely manner
- Correlate, analyze, and escalate incidents and alarms using management
tools and following best practices; support the daily coordination and
remediation of incidents and problems
- Provide consulting support to customers and other technical groups in
support of deployed technical solutions and work closely with
cross-functional team members to assure compatibility and consistency for
all deployed solutions
- Collaborates routinely and cross trains to maintain a thorough and broad
knowledge of current technology trends and advancements
- Develop and maintain system documentation for the service delivery process

The ideal candidate is curious, creative, tenacious, self-directed, and

as collaboratively; analytical and able to identify, define, interpret, and

Preference for work experience with server virtualization and/or
deploying
and supporting Oracle database and Enterprise Resource Planning
