Our client based in West Los Angeles is currently looking to fill the following full time position. 
Salary 80-95k

Functions Include:
"	Administration of our production infrastructure and our in-house development and QA environments.
"	Working in a variety of platforms consisting primarily of Linux and Solaris with J2EE applications (WebLogic/JBoss), Apache, and Oracle systems.  Minor support of Windows and .NET applications.
"	Analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing systems.
"	Interfacing with departmental directors and enterprise architecture team to design, deploy, and troubleshoot new infrastructure developments.
"	Technical lead for the Production Administration team who sets examples and pace for following "best practices", system standardization, task automation, issue tracking, and documenting both new and existing systems/procedures.
"	Respond to service outages and restore operations quickly.  Work with various teams to troubleshoot causes behind outages and work to proactively prevent them.
"	Track software patches and upgrades and keep systems up to date.
"	Mentor junior members of the team and assist with technical insight.
"	Assist the development team in resolving work problems related to project specifications and/or system configuration.

Requirements:

"	A minimum of 6 -8 years supporting a production environment.
"	A minimum of 5 years administration experience in a SOA (three-tiered/internet facing) environment.
"	Thorough experience installing, securing, custom-tailoring, and maintaining various Linux distributions.
"	Strong knowledge of Solaris and/or several UNIX variants.
"	Experience maintaining and troubleshooting J2EE applications running on Weblogic, JBoss, Tomcat, or comparable Java application engine.
"	Experience installing and maintaining Oracle database servers.  Experience closely working with Oracle DBAs to tune server performance.
"	Solid SAN Administration experience.  EMC experience, a plus.
"	Expert knowledge of Veritas Storage Foundation for Oracle.
"	Solid grasp of scripting and complex task automation.
"	Basic understanding/working knowledge of securing, and maintaining Windows Server platforms (2k, 2003), MSSQL, .NET, and Active Directory.
"	Working knowledge of Alteon load balancers, a plus.
"	Knowledge of Cisco routers and Switches, a plus.
"	Checkpoint and PIX firewall experience, a plus.
"	Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
"	Requires some travel and off hours support
