As mentioned previously, please dont respond to folks spamming the
list with a thread hijack about the birthday meetup. It is considered
bad form (or bad etiquette) to hijack a thread, so kindly reply to the
posts that have already been made about the birthday, write a reply
there asking the person to reply to that thread.

I say this not as a list admin but as an ordinary member.
