Hi all,
I hope that somebody from there does step up and perhaps do resumable git

https://git.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/SoC2008Ideas#Restartable_Clone

While in other countries the absence of restartable clone is not much
of an issue, because of network conditions in India as well as other
places in Asia, many hrs. have been spent doing cloning only to have
got disrupted in-between due to network failure and being back to
square one. While the above workshop is probably an introduction to
git, I do hope somebody takes a liking and does it either as part of
OPW or GSOC or any combination of things.
