The following is a brief FAQ on the recent LinuxChix move. It will be
followed by a FAQ on the recent bouncing mail problem, which will be
cross-posted.

techtalk at linuxchix.org if technical. Do not reply to the announce list.

FAQ: Linuxchix Move

What is the status of the Linuxchix move?

 The Linuxchix move is complete. In August 2001 Linuxchix moved to new
 servers, and the mailing lists also moved.

Why did Linuxchix move?

 The founder and then Linuxchix project lead, Deb Richardson, felt she
 could no longer run Linuxchix fairly.

Where did Linuxchix move?

 The Linuxchix site and mailing lists moved to a machine controlled by
 the now project coordinator, Jenn Vesperman.

Why did I have to resubscribe to the mailing lists on the new machine?

 Deb told us that the old mailing lists were full of dud addresses,
 including bouncing addresses, and other mailing lists subscribed to
 ours. Several posts were made to the old lists reminding people to
 resubscribe to the new ones. Hopefully most active readers and posters
 resubscribed.
