'While gadget magazines such as T3 with its signature bikini-clad
babes on the cover are still squarely aimed at the blokes, the tech
princesses believe it's time the industry woke up to girl power.

"Everyone uses technology now, it\'s not just the realm of 15-year-old
boys, so they really should be thinking a lot broader. I know who has
last say on technology purchases at my house," Ms Lewis says.'

It looks like we should have a gadget section for our ChixBits
magazine. I am a big gadget fan and love to hear about all the new
directions that tech is branching out towards.

I'm back in college and my Axiomatic Geometry has one guy and the rest
are women. They are crazy about texting! So much so that they do it
during class. It's unbelievable to me that texting would be so big but
I guess that just makes me old. Are these women going to install linux
on their cellphones? Maybe.

The market is currently working against them but it looks like that's
not going to stop them from using tech gadgets. Will this lead to more
women wanting to contribute to creating gadgets? Yes, I think so. The
interest in using gadgets is there. The "hey I've got a better idea
for this or hey I wonder if x can do y" is going to be a natural
outcome of usage.
